I took an American Red Cross CPR class so that I’d be prepared to respond to cardiac emergencies. On the runway and off, at work or hanging out with my kids, I want to be ready to help if something happened.

From June 1 to June 7, you can get ready too—right in your hometown.

The first week of June is National CPR/AED Awareness Week, and the Red Cross is marking it by holding CPR/AED classes, demonstrations, and other events all around the country.

It’s a great opportunity to get prepared.

Thousands of lives—from infants to grandparents—are saved every year because someone took a CPR class or learned how to use an automatic external defibrillator (AED), which can be used to help save someone who has gone into cardiac arrest.
Auf Wiedersehen,

If more people know how to perform these important skills, more lives will be saved.

You have the chance next week to learn these skills and be ready to help your loved ones during an emergency. Let’s be prepared together! So are you in, or are you out?
